The Who

Spooky Geek with a creative streak.

My name is Melanie and I am the force behind NetherNerd Creations. What was originally a source for creativity and dopamine hits, has turned into a passion for sharing my creations with others. I graduated from the Interactive Technology program at NSCC many moons ago, with a specialization in design. Discovering sublimation crafting sparked an opportunity to put that education to good use along with the other crafty mediums I get into (hello, ADHD). I am a fan of many things, and celebrate Halloween all year long. I am a Ghostbuster cosplayer (among other things), and love that the community uses cosplay to raise funds for local charities. You will find items here to support that venture as well.

The Car

Wednesday is our 2008 Cadillac Superior Funeral Coach, she lugs all these beautiful crafts to conventions and markets. She also makes appearances around the town of New Glasgow, NS and cosplays as an ECTO from time to time.

FAQs

Is it haunted? No, she is not haunted. Though hearses are custom vehicles, they have their own little gremlins. By the time a body makes its way to a hearse, the person has been long gone. The house however, definitely is haunted.

Is it hard on gas? Not particularly, we don't find much difference to our regular car.

Where do you get a hearse? Funeral homes will sell off their vehicles when they pull them out of their fleet. Check kijiji, fb marketplace, etc. They're not frequent in NS, but serendipity brought this one to us.

Can I take pictures of/with the car? YES! If you post them online, please tag @nethernerdcreations on FB or IG

Supporting local & Canadian

We all do what we can, and to the best of my ability, I source my blanks and supplies locally first, then within Nova Scotia, then within the Maritimes, followed by within Canada before I go elsewhere. It's a balancing act of quality, costs, and wanting to support other local businesses. When you shop from me, you are not only supporting me and my family, but at the minimum 1 other local business that I bought my supplies from.
